In January 2007, Board members of the Samvedana Foundation, USA met several officials of the Municipal Corporation of Ahmedabad as well as Department Heads of the Nagri Eye Hospital and initiated an eye project to screen and treat retinopathy in diabetic patients.

The Samvedana Foundation is committed to providing Rs. 50 Lakhs for this project over a period of 5 years. Two camps have already been completed and received with great enthusiasm. Several hundred patients have been screened and treated, and we look to continue providing this service in the coming years.
